DHL Express Delivery Bike - 2003
Task: Motorbike Design for express and urgent package and mail delivery services.
An electric in-wheel engine was chosen for chassis space-saving and pollution matters. The battery is positioned diagonally behind the front wheel for a more balanced overall weight and lower centre of gravity.
Battery power provides energy to the engine for an approximate journey period of 6-9 hours, taking into consideration that the vehicle will deliver approximately 80 litres of items per journey.

The vehicle is designed to carry mail, small packages and bigger items safely and conveniently throughout its journey, with a maximum total loading capacity of 80 litres. Extra modular boxes with various volumes could be positioned at the rear of the vehicle, fitting it to the chassis for additional modular loading capacity. An electric charging station would be provided at the DHL delivery garage/station for supplying the vehicle with power between its journeys.

The Delivery bike's abilities could be extended to other services and organizations like organ transportation in the medical field or daily mail delivery.
